Our regret for leaving hague too soon disappeared once we saw the huge buildings right in front of the Central Station in Rotterdam. As we arrived after 6 o'clock, we found all the museums and shops closed. It was unbelievable that such a cosmopolit town could be so quiet, with empty cafes and streets. The modern buildings which almost touched the sky gave us the sensation that we were living in a city of the future. It puzzled us how was it possible for all this to be built in such a short period of time. At dusk, as the city started comming to life, we realised it was time to return to Olde Vechte. We watched the sun set over the amazing Rotterdam from the train and we said goodbye with a sigh.
